The Chris Rice Training Center was established in 2005 as a step toward the dream of a career and life with horses that Chris began as a youth. He grew up in the mountains of Virginia and started his first horse at 13. Since then he has traveled the full spectrum of the horse industry, from rodeos to hunter jumper classes to the AQHA congress and futurities.

Chris's accomplishments focused and expanded when he purchased Dodger Command, a son of Cee Bee Command and Montoya Dodgette. Cee Bee Command is an AQHA World Champion in Reining and Working Cow with 98 performance points. Doger Command is a two time PHBA World Reining Champion, four time PHBA World top 5, and has his ROM in Reining. Chris and Dodger Command had an incredible show career, earning his ROM's with AQHA and building their respective reputations together. Dodger now stands at stud and can still spin and slide with the style. His offspring have been fancy ( mostly buckskins with color ) and successfull in Reining and Working Cow Horse competitions.

Chris Rice has continued a diverse show career while riding Reiners into the winners circle as shown with Chris and Heza Classy Chex on right. His main accomplishments have been in training horses, and retraining horses, for successful show careers for clients. Chris has worked with prospects for Cutting, Barrel Racing, Hunter Under Saddle, Dressage, Pleasure, and Reining. His quiet but deliberate methods have translated into well trained attentive mounts for numerous delighted and proud owners. Chris is a rising star, full of promise, and eager to work hard for the future long term result.
